Daniela Güleresi, MSc

Daniela GüIeresi obtained her MSc degree in Genome Based Systems Biology from the University of Bielefeld in Germany. During her studies and before diving into Evolutionary Biology she had gathered experience in microbiology and genetic engineering while working on projects involving distinct pathogens of crops, people and flies.  After joining the Evolutionary Biology group she has discovered how exciting commensal bacteria, namely E. coli, can be and is now interested in learning about what shapes diversity in natural populations and what can be the effect of evolution in the host-microbe interplay.  As a lab manager she is providing research support, contributes to the laboratory's and institute's infrastructure by through stock provision and equipment maintenance, project management and financial execution and provides training to newcomers and colleagues.
