Elsa Seixas obtained her PhD in Biological Sciences at FCT Nova on the Interaction between Drugs and Immunity to Malaria. Afterwards, she continued to develop her investigation on Plasmodium as a Research Associate at the Dr. Jean Langhorne Malaria Laboratory at the National Institute for Medical Research in London. Upon her return to Portugal she has been working as a Senior Postdoctoral Scientist at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência. Through the years her work experience has encompassed wide areas of research such as Infection, Immunology, Parasitology, Microbiology and Cell Biology.
